*2020-02-24 - HIT Residents Association Now a Reality! (HIT=Harrismith, Intabazwe, Tshiame)* We are certainly going to “HIT Back” by not allowing our town to deteriorate further! On 19 February 2020 a second inaugural planning meeting was held between residents of Harrismith, Intabazwe, Tshiame and the Harrismith Water Heroes. Also present were officials from Sakeliga (a professional Business Organisation with 12 000 members) and Andreas Peens, a lawyer who successfully litigated against various Municipalities. Under discussion were the challenges we collectively face as a town with the major focus on the collapsed Maluti a Phofung Municipality and the resultant future of our greater Harrismith area. Various “HIT-Back” options available to us were discussed. HIT Residents Association’s primary objective is to act as the formalized VOICE and pressure group of the residents. Secondary objectives are to develop long term strategies and on-going solutions for improved and sustainable service delivery in Harrismith, Intabazwe and Tshiame (HIT). A legal structure called HIT RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION has already been set up and will officially start functioning on 1 March 2020 with proper oversight structures and bank accounts. PLEASE JOIN YOUR OWN “HIT RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION” and let your VOICE BE HEARD #HarrismithIntabazweTshiame #NonProfitOrganization #BetterLifeForAll #SayNoToPoorServiceDeliveryTakeAction #HITAssociation #HarrismithWaterHeroes #WorkingHandInHandForABetterLifeForAll #WorkingHandInToRestoreOurGreaterHarrismitth HIT Information Release #001/2020 - 24 February 2020
